Manager Accounts and Access

Add verified manager accounts, assign Basic and Financial permissions, and prepare for leadership changes.

Add a manager

  1. The new manager creates a Simpli Dues account and follows the email verification link.
  2. The group owner opens Group Managers.
  3. The owner enters the exact verified account email and selects Basic, Financial, or both.
  4. The manager signs in and opens the group from Groups.

An account by itself does not grant access to a group. Only the owner can add, change, or remove managers.

Choose permissions

Basic
Member maintenance, Member Edit Links, receipt resends, Initiatives, member export, and Activity Log access.
Financial
Stripe setup, Fee Schedule, Payment Tiers, the Tax-Deductible setting, and membership policy settings.
Basic + Financial
Use when a manager needs both operational and financial configuration responsibilities.

Basic and Financial are independent. Financial permission does not automatically include Basic permission.

Change or remove access

The owner can edit a manager's permissions or use the manager's Delete action to remove access. Removing Simpli Dues access does not change that person's access to Stripe.

Prepare for a leadership handoff

Add incoming leaders before outgoing leaders leave so responsibilities can overlap and be verified. For an organizational role account, such as a treasurer mailbox, use the group's established email account handoff and reset the Simpli Dues password for the new officeholder.

Owner transfer is not available in Group Managers. After the incoming owner has a verified account and has been added as a manager, contact Simpli Dues to arrange the owner change. Manage Stripe access and representative changes separately in Stripe.
