Create a New Group

When a group is created, a page displaying the group name and description will become public on the internet. Members will be able to make dues payments once the group's financial account integration has been enabled.

As the group's creator, you will automatically be given all permissions for the new group.

Review the setup and launch checklist(opens in a new window) for an overview of group creation and permanent settings.

Choose something that identifies your group and is easy to type.

Your group's payment page URL will be:

https://app.simplidues.com/group?g=

This option controls what a member is in your group. For example, Selecting Household will make an address the primary means of identifying your members. Selecting Organization will make the organization name the primary means of identification.

Households and Organizations may have people associated with them, and various type-appropriate information for each person may be stored.

An Individual group has one member per person, with each person managing their own membership information.

Enter the standard or most common amount your group charges for dues. Paying dues establishes or extends membership standing.

After creating the group, add Payment Tiers when members need different dues rates.

Add Initiatives later for optional non-dues contributions.

Rolling memberships start on the member's payment date and last for the billing interval. Annual terms use shared calendar-year or fiscal-year membership periods for every member.

Provide a zipcode if it will help members identify your group more easily (useful for local groups), otherwise leave this blank.

This description should help members properly identify the group when making dues payments. Consider including a link to the group's website.

The following HTML elements are allowed (others will be removed):
a, p, br, i, em, b, strong, blockquote, q, ul, ol, li

Optional URL for your group's website or social media page.

After creating the group, connect Stripe before accepting online payments.
